A case from the clinical practice of the pediatric surgery department at Lapino Clinical Hospital.

The hospital's medical team conducted a comprehensive examination, which included urethrocystoscopy and nephroscintigraphy. The results revealed a congenital anomaly of the right kidney – duplication of the right kidney with hydronephrosis and a refluxing megaureter in the lower segment. Considering the congenital condition, which cannot be corrected with medication or treated conservatively, the panel of doctors decided to admit the child for surgical intervention.
